Popular cosmetics in Japan
Makeup is also very unique in Japan, and it's interesting to compare to the makeup in other countries. I am going to introduce you and compare some of the most popular cosmetic brands here, and eventually some of the ways in which they are used (in a different article)
CANMAKE
It is probably the most frequently used cosmetic brand by the high school girls in Japan. They are quite cheep compared to other brands, but still maintain a good quality. Their lip glosses and eyeliners are especially famous for working really well.
The pink lip gloss is my favourite, as it colours very well and stays there for a good amount of time.

Visee
Visee, targeting at girls who are slightly older than CANMAKE, is another cosmetic brands that is very popular among teenagers and older in Japan. In Japan, people really do love using blush and in the last few years, "cream cheek" has been very popular. Visee is probably the company that started this trend.
You just need to take a little bit on your figure and then put it on your cheek, you'd become so much cuter :) It's also really good to use on the lip, when you do not want the obvious lip stick or lip gloss.
ETUDE HOUSE
ETUDE HOUSE is actually a Korean makeup brand, but it's extremely popular among young girls in Japan in the last few years. The water tint lip is the best friend of lot of girls, as it takes little time but brightens up the face so much.

Those cosmetics brands that I introduced in this article are just three from billions of popular cosmetic lines, I'm planning to introduce more some time later. They are a good starting point if you are planning to put a little "Japonism" into your style
