Arashi -2-

Time for another article about Arashi :)
(The last one can be found here)

In this one, I'm gonna introduce each of the 5 members and tell you why they are so great :P

Satoshi Ohno (One word to describe him: talented)

Satoshi, the leader of Arashi, is an extremely talented guy. He is a real artist, as he can dance, sing, and draw exceptionally well. Despite his job as an idol, he had an exhibition of his art twice, across Japan and China. They all ended in success. His skill of dancing and singing are especially shown when he performs his solo in the concert, although you can see that clearly when he is performing with other members too :) What I think makes him attractive to the fans is the fact that he always looks so chilled, and doesn't seem passionate at all in what he's doing especially when on TV, but once he starts performing, you just cannot take your eye off him. (His famous episodes include him falling asleep while recording a TV show that was going to be broadcasted on the national scale).

Sho Sakurai (One word to describe him: smart)

Sho, as I have stated earlier, is a really smart person. He graduated from Keio University, one of the top ones in Japan, and has been a newscaster at a news show called "News Zero"since 2006 every Monday. The way he describes things on the show is very clear and easy to understand for anyone, which is definitely a result of his effort and smartness. What makes him attractive, though, is the fact that, although he appears to be the good boy, you would soon notice there's so much more to him. He raps in a lot of the songs that Arashi release, and he can be quite aggressive in the lyrics. He'd often show his desire for the Arashi to be the top, which they have actually achieved and continue to succeed. When listening to Arashi's song, his rap lyrics is very interesting, it's worth taking a close look at.

Masaki Aiba (One word to describe him: happy)

As much as it sounds weird to say, he is the sunshine of Arashi. I don't know how to describe it, but he's the kind of person who's presence just makes everyone happier. He is always smiling, kind, and forgiving. He would never manage to make people feel bad, and although you'd only see him on the TV, you can see he is a real good person. I have never ever head anyone disliking him, including those who are not even the fans of Arashi (Just to make sure you wouldn't go, "but if they are not a fan, they wouldn't know about him, so obviously, they wouldn't dislike him", it is very very difficult to live in Japan without knowing Arashi, as they are on TV all the time, and so many adverts have their pictures on them) His solo performance is also always really engaging, as he'd always come up with a way to get the audience involved.

Kazunari Ninomiya (One word to describe him: mysterious)

It was very difficult to describe him with one word, and it's because he has so many sides to him. He is a great and talented actor, has acted in many TV series and movies, including one of the main roles in "Letters from Iwo Jima". His acting, at least in my view, is not those of "idols trying to act" level. He often plays a role that faces a seriously sad event, and the way he acts it out just draws the audience into the moment. (The movie he was involved in include "Ao no Hono", in which he acted a boy who'd kill his step father, and "Memories of My Son", which the role he plays loses his life from the atomic bombing in Nagasaki. I cried for 2 hours full on when I watched it for the first time) Despite his career in acting some really difficult roles, he is the one who makes the most humorous and witty comments in TV shows. At the same time, he proudly confirms he is a serious gamer, and that he'd stay at his house all day playing games when he has a day off. You see, it's so difficult to describe him in one word other than mysterious, please check him out yourself, and let me know if you find any expression that describes him.

Jun Matsumoto (One word to describe him: passionate)

On the other hand, Jun, is a very very straightforward person. It might be because I am his fan, it is very easy to describe him. He is passionate in all the jobs he gets involved in, especially when making Arashi's concert. He, as the other members also confirm, is the one making Arashi's concert from scratch. When Arashi as a group chose a theme or a concept, Jun decides what the setlist is going to be like, what kind of effect is used at which point, and how to get the audiences involved. He is famous for coming up with the idea of the moving stage, which is basically a stage moves above the audience, but it's transparent so that the fans can see them even when they are on the stage going above them. It's really cool, and you can find it in any concert DVDs released after around 2007. It's very interesting to see the other members have a great trust in what he produces, and the the ideas he comes up with. He is often referred as Mr. Perfect, and perceived as such by the public. It's because he is, well, handsome, sporty, gentle, kind, and just seems to be good at most of the things he does. But the reason why a lot of people start to be really attracted to him when you see his clumsiness, which you can spot quite frequently. He often makes some really simple mistake, or he just can't do some really simple things. And it's kind of cute. It's this balance that he has, of being the perfect guy and somewhat clumsy at the same time that makes him so appealing.

Okay, I'v written way more than I planned to, like I did last time. I probably still need to continue in other articles, coz I really need to introduce their best songs and TV shows.
