Koi Dance (from "Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu")

In this article, I will be introducing the choreography that was so popular in Japan during the 2016 winter. It is called the Koi Dance, as it was made to a song called Koi (恋), a theme song to the popular TV series called "Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu".

"Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu" is a TV series that focused on a relationship between Mikuri and Hiramasa, who decide to have a contract marriage. Although they had a contract marriage only for their own benefit at the beginning, they gradually start to fall in love with each other. The characters are all very unique, with a girl being traumatised from her lack of luck and her bad previous relationship, and the guy even calling himself a "professional single(er)". To be honest, I am still half way through the series, so I can't tell much about the storyline.

However, even I know that Koi Dance, which the actors and the actresses from this TV series danced at the end of each episode, was seriously a huge thing. You can see the actual ending of the episodes in the video below.

This unique (and sometimes cute and also hilarious) choreography was danced by so many people, and the videos were uploaded. I will post some of the ones I found entertaining here, you can take a look, and even try to memorise the choreography :)

The one below was made by the stuffs at the U.S. embassy in Japan

If you simply type in "恋ダンス" in youtube, you can find loads more! check them out:)
